Welcome to The Quest Zone at Greendale Elementary!
When school ends, The Quest Zone begins! Our innovative after-school program provides exciting, interactive activities, homework support and structure. So while you’re at work, you can rest assured your student is safe, productive and having fun!
Schedule:
The Quest Zone is open Monday-Friday, from 2:30 to 6:00 p.m.!
Ages Served: 5-12

- Located on-site at Greendale Elementary.
- Open after school until 6:00 p.m., Monday-Thursday.
- Daily homework help and extended learning time.
- Fun, interactive curriculum focuses on STEM, digital literacy, critical thinking and more.

Ron Baxley Jr.
Site Director
Hi, I’m Ron Baxley Jr.! I’ve worked in education for more than 15 years in a variety of roles, including public and private school teacher, technical college instructor, after-school program coordinator for Communities in Schools, and coordinator for a children’s literacy organization. I’m passionate about helping children explore their creativity and discover the many ways they can use it to shape their futures. As Pablo Picasso said, “Every child is an artist. The challenge is staying an artist when you grow up.”
I earned my B.A. in English from the University of South Carolina and have completed master’s-level coursework in Teaching the Exceptional Child at USC. I’ve also studied Digital Rendering and Gaming at Piedmont Technical College, earned alternative certification in 8th grade ELA through the PACE program, and received a WordPress certificate from the Palmetto Innovation Center.
I’m a published author who writes Oz and fantasy books for children and teens. I enjoy reading, trivia nights with friends, comic shops, and cheering on the Gamecocks. I’m also a proud Corgi owner and love visiting Chittenango, New York — the birthplace of original Oz author L. Frank Baum.
